After 10 days off, the WACO volleyball team is back on their home court tonight when they host Keokuk and Wapello for a triangular.
The Warriors hope to build off of a solid opening night when they went 3-1 at their own tournament. Morgan Graber had 33 kills that day, Laney Graber with 78 assists, and Aubri Garnsey with 47 digs. Keokuk is 0-3 on the season and Wapello is 6-4. Warrior head coach Jay Coble tells KCII Sports he likes his defense so far this year. “In the Van Buren match our back row kept us in the game. To have 39 digs between two girls on 82 swings is impressive and that’s how we stay alive. So much hard work has gone into that and I am so proud of those girls for what they have done.”
The matches get underway at 5:30 p.m. this evening in Wayland.
