Wapello’s finest held a grand opening for their new headquarters last week. The Wapello Police Department has moved to 370 Mulberry Street, into a building that was donated by the Jabarri Family in 2018 and was remodeled to serve as the new station. Their previous location was 510 Isett Avenue. Police Chief Brandon Marquardt, members of the department, Wapello Mayor Shawn Mayne and members of the City Council provided tours and answered questions.
