You could not have scripted a better offensive performance than what Washington displayed last night, as they scored a touchdown in each of their first eight drives and dispatched Oskaloosa 62-12 at Case Field.

As heard on KCII, the Demon offense was clicking on all cylinders from the start with Luke Turner tossing four first-half touchdowns headlined by a 49-yard strike to Spencer Sotelo, 32 yard score to Zac Stout, and an 88-yard bomb deflected off of Stout into the hands of Ethan Hunt that went to the house right before half. The Demons had a 42-12 advantage at the break and things continued to unravel in the final two quarters for the Indians. Turner had an 11-yard touchdown run, Trashaun Willis had a touchdown pass to Jacob Miller, and Bryan Martin delivered the final dagger with a 40-yard scoop and score fumble recovery. Turner told KCII Sports the emphasis all week in practice was to get out to a fast start. “We have been stressing getting out right away and setting the tempo. The offensive line did a great job just working hard and holes opened up for the rest of us. They made it easy on us tonight.” Turner finished his mammoth game with 144 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. The senior went nine of 13 through the air for 257 yards and four scores. Ethan Hunt had two receptions for 103 yards. The Demon defense contained a dynamic Indian backfield to just 76 yards rushing with Willis, Lucas Kroll, and Jarrett Bender all recording eight tackles.

Washington moves to 2-0 and have a tussle Friday night at Iowa City Liberty.
