A kitten shower and a car show are both being held for PAWS and More in Washington this weekend. Today is a kitten shower, not unlike a baby shower, at the shelter starting at noon. PAWS Director Amber Talbot says donations of kitten items are appreciated and cat adoption fees are reduced to just $40 during the event. Talbot says there’s been a high influx of cats and kittens this year, and they need to find their forever homes.

On Sunday is the rescheduled 21st annual Central Park car show run by the Corn Country Cruisers. The car entry fee is $15 and registration runs from 8-11 a.m. Awards will be presented at 3 p.m. and lunch will be available during the car show.
