lone-tree4-5

The Lone Tree football team had an opportunity to pick up their first win of the season on Friday night, but came up just short falling to HLV 29-26 on the road.

The Lions utilized a heavy dose of the passing game, as Harmon Miller completed 20 of 32 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns. Keegan Edwards was on the receiving end of 13 of those completions for 117 yards and one score. Lone Tree was held to just 81 yards on the ground. Cale Yoder had nine tackles to lead the defense. Head Coach Aaron Bohr tells KCII Sports they had too many miscues to come out on top. “We made too many mistakes and shot ourselves in the foot. We had a touchdown that got called back, turnovers, bad penalties, and taking negative plays. I thought we competed well for four quarters, but didn’t come out on top.”

The Lions fall to 0-3 and they end their three game road trip Friday at New London.
