The Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team made it a quick night on Tuesday in Columbus Junction, as they swept the Wildcats in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference matchup.

The Wolves won with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-8. Jenna Buffington put in her normal day’s work with 21 kills and Kayla Edwards recorded 27 assists. Kyndal Townsley was 16 of 18 serving with seven aces and she also led the team in digs with 17. Kayla Beenen had three kills and nine digs to lead the Wildcats and Taylor Howell had eight assists.  Wolves head coach Dave Pieart tells KCII Sports the offense was clicking on all cylinders. “We were much better on offense. We had a lot of our hitters step up. Left side, right side, and middle were all working well.”

The Wolves move to 11-3 overall and they get back on the court tomorrow hosting Highland. Columbus drops to 3-11 and they host Mediapolis the same day.
