Work is complete on G-36 and the road is now open to traffic. The Washington County Engineer’s Office announced that the crews finished the work this week and 220th Street is open. Crews had been patching the road. The work began at the same time that the bridge replacement on Highway 1 started south of Kalona.

The Iowa Department of Transportation still has Highway 1 closed as the new bridge is put in place. A detour for Highway 1 has been set for Highway 22, Highway 218, and Highway 92.
