The Winfield-Mt. Union football team is at home Friday when they host the Iowa Valley Tigers. WMU is coming off of a 76-48 loss last week at No. 5 Montezuma. Daunte Oepping had 250 all-purpose yards and accounted for five touchdowns. On the season the Wolves are led by Oepping at 23 of 42 through the air for 341 yards, four touchdowns and a pair of interceptions. His favorite target is Jacob Ford with nine catches for 197 yards and a touchdown. On the ground its also Oepping with 70 carries for 461 yards and 10 touchdowns. Defensively Juanito Piper has 42 tackles, with two tackles for loss to lead the Wolves.

Iowa Valley comes into the game with an overall record of 2-1. They lost a hard fought 33-32 contest last week against English Valleys. In that game the Tigers were led by Ben Smith and his 273 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns. For the season Iowa Valley has Smith leading the way through the air at 14 of 34 for 263 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. Smith is also best on the ground with 59 carries for 448 yards and 10 touchdowns. Leading receiver for the Tigers is Kayne Marshall with six grabs for 133 yards and three touchdowns. Brody Hoyt leads the Iowa Valley defense with 27 tackles, two for loss. These two teams met a season ago with Iowa Valley taking an 84-22 win. Action begins tonight at 7p.m. at Winfield-Mt. Union High School.
