Against a stacked field Monday night at Solon, the Mid-Prairie cross country team continued their great early season performances. The Golden Hawk girls finished second in the team race with their score of 65 points. Bettendorf won the team championship with 49 points. Marie Hostetler continued her undefeated streak, taking the individual title in 18:24. Other finishers for the Golden Hawks included Mitzi Evans seventh, Abbagail Evans 15th, Angelina Evans 21st, Ana Fleming 25th, and Jaden Yoder 41st.

The Mid-Prairie boys were sixth of eight competing teams with their score of 166 points. Iowa City Liberty won the team title with 30 points. Top finish for the Mid-Prairie boys came from Chandler Hershberger in 18th with a time of 18:09. Other finishers included Jamison Stutzman 22nd, Nathan Wallington 23rd, Lucas Bontrager 25th, Robert Nagy 52nd and Levi Stultz 56th.

The Mid-Prairie cross country teams will next be in action Monday at the Iowa City Kickers Complex.
