A person of interest has been identified in the case of a threat found at Washington High School Tuesday. A threatening message was found written on a bathroom stall Tuesday. In a joint press release Thursday from the Washington Police Chief and the Washington Community School District Superintendent, it was announced that the investigation continues and that it is believed there is no imminent threat. The name of the person of interest has not been released. The police department will continue to provide extra law enforcement presence throughout the school district.
