Singing “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac advanced one local woman’s dreams on television this week. Cali Wilson of Salem appeared on the blind auditions of NBC’s The Voice Monday and managed to turn three judge’s chairs around. The cliffhanger had Wilson’s coach selection Tuesday. Wilson chose Blake Shelton and will be singing with Team Blake as the show progresses.

She shares her inspiration comes from her mom, Carla, who sang in bands, is a single-mom and full-time nurse. Wilson graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 2009. She now lives in Nashville, Tennessee where she is a kick-boxing instructor.
