A Washington County Sheriff’s car was backed into after a vehicle tried to flee in Washington. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of East Main Street, a deputy stated a vehicle tried to run from him but then backed into the squad car. The driver was a juvenile from Washington. Three people were taken into custody. Washington Police assisted.
The juvenile driver was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, reckless driving, no headlamps, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, manner of conveyance, and no valid driver’s license. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
