After a postponement last week,  the Southeast Iowa Super Conference cross country meet is set for this evening at Waterworks Park in Fairfield.

Area schools Columbus Community, Highland, Lone Tree, Winfield-Mt. Union, and WACO will all be competing for a conference title. The Wildcats’ Isaac Acosta and the Wolves’ Brody Barton have been a steady force all season including both cracking the top 10 last week at Twin Lakes. Lone Tree’s Macie Bopp will be a runner to look out for on the girls’ side, as she finished fourth at the same meet. Head Coach of WACO Seth Pugh tells KCII Sports this meet always brings great competition. “We have seen just about every team but Pekin and I know they will be one of the teams to beat. It will be nice seeing them and some of the others team that we have seen so we can compare how much we have improved throughout the year. It’s going to be a lot of fun at that course.”

All of the action begins at 4:30 p.m. this evening in Fairfield.
