Two Washington students have been chosen for a select statewide choir. Freshman Bailey Rees and eighth-grade student Makynna Morgan have been selected for the 2019 Iowa Choral Directors Association OPUS Honor Choir. Rees was selected for the ninth grade mixed honor choir and Morgan will be in the seventh and eighth grade treble clef honor choir. Each year, nearly 3,000 students are nominated by their directors for the select 720 positions in the four OPUS choirs. The OPUS honor choirs will perform at 4 p.m. November 21st at Iowa State University.
