Nearly $28,000 worth of asphalt patching is coming to three areas in Washington. The Washington City Council approved the patching work to be done by LL Pelling. Mayor Jaron Rosien said this is a start to improving East Adams, “Happily this middle piece does solve, not permanently, but the East Adams along 15th we’re hoping, Brent (Hinson) included that to address some of our big concerns with all the construction on South 15th, the impact that’s made on Adams, happily this is included in this patching project. It doesn’t fix it forever, but it’s a good start.” Work will also include patching the main break areas on West Madison, South Iowa, and West Main Street, as well as some patching on West 3rd Street by the Pennsylvania Townhomes. The expenses will be split evenly between the road use and water funds, and there is money in the budget for the work.
