The Columbus Wildcats hit the road Friday to wrap up the regular season with a rivalry game when they meet the Wapello Indians. The Wildcats come into the game with a 1-8 overall record. They were beaten last week on their homecoming by Wilton 44-0. Jeff Hoback led the way through the air at nine of 13 for 50 yards and Will Schwab had 13 carries for 71 yards. On the season the Wildcats are led by Hoback through the air at 18 of 35 for 175 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. His favorite target is Tucker Bright with 13 catches for 172 yards and three scores. Bright also leads the Columbus defense with 54 and a half tackles including four for loss and a sack. The Wildcat ground game is led by Will Schwab with 110 carries for 434 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Wapello comes into the game at .500 on the year, 4-4. In their last contest they fell to Sigourney-Keota on the road 42-6. Ricky Pforts led the Indians offense with 18 carries for 100 yards and a score. For the season, Tade Parsons leads the Wapello aerial attack at 70 for 128 650 yards, three touchdowns and five interceptions. His favorite target is Dan Meeker with 20 catches for 156 yards and a score. On the ground, Pforts has 1,045 yards and 13 touchdowns on 167 carries. The Wapello defense is led by Pforts with 58 stops on the year. These two teams met a season ago with Wapello taking a 49-7 win. Action begins Friday night at 7p.m. at Wapello.
