The Lone Tree football team has a chance to end the season above .500 Friday when they host English Valleys for Senior Night. The Lions come into the game with an overall record of 4-4 on the year after a 36-20 win over WACO a week ago. The Lions were led in the win by Harmon Miller going seven of 15 for 124 yards through the air while Alex Viner had 14 carries for 133 yards and a touchdown. On the year, Lone Tree is led through the air by Miller going 72 of 152 for 1,124 yards, 14 touchdowns and two interceptions. His favorite target is Keegan Edwards with 34 catches for 395 yards and three touchdowns. Miller is also the leading ground gainer with 155 attempts 665 yards and 16 touchdowns. Cale Yoder has 100 tackles to lead the Lion defense, including 19 tackles for loss and two sacks.

English Valleys comes into the game also at 4-4. Last week the Bears were beaten at home by Montezuma 82-46 despite 31 carries 242 yards and three touchdowns for Beau Flander. Cole Stephenson leads the Bears through the air at 82 of 164 for 1,142 yards, 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His favorite target is Kaden Hall with 44 catches for 612 yards and nine touchdowns. On the ground the Bears are led by Flander with 196 carries for 1,239 yards and 15 scores. Nolan Grove has 49 and a half tackles to pace the Bears defense including 12 tackles for loss and five sacks. These two teams met a year ago and the Lions got the 55-32 win. The Lions will honor 11 seniors on the night. Action begins Friday at 7p.m. at Lone Tree High School.
