Opposing quarterbacks found out the hard way in 2019 that the entire area around Sigourney-Keota’s Brady Duwa was a no fly zone. The Cobra junior picked off nine passes this season, most in class 1A. He also racked up 192 return yards on those interceptions and took one back to the house. That was a 50 yard pick six in a 75-27 win at Albia in week three. Duwa had at least one interception in seven of the Cobras nine games this year, including three picks in a season opening win over rival Pekin. SK ended the season with an 8-1 overall record.
