A 30-year-old woman died in a car wreck in Washington County in snowy conditions Monday morning. According to the Iowa State Patrol, at 8:47 a.m. a 1992 Mercury Sable driven by Elizabeth Jean Pauley of Crawfordsville was northbound on Spruce Avenue near Sockum Ridge Road when it crossed the centerline. The Pauley vehicle was struck broadside by a Silverado driven by 33-year-old Andrew Ryan Kucera of Ainsworth. The Sable came to rest on the south shoulder, the Silverado stopped in the southbound lane. Pauley died at the scene. She had been wearing a seatbelt.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Ambulance, Crawfordsville EMS, and the Crawfordsville Fire Department.
