The field of singers on NBC’s The Voice has narrowed to 13 and southeast Iowa native Cali Wilson is among them. In Tuesday’s live episode the singers in the competition were narrowed from 20 to 13. The top two vote-getters on each of the four teams advanced automatically. And then each coach was able to save one singer on his or her team. Coach Blake Shelton selected Cali Wilson as his save.
Wilson tells KCII News that she thanks all of those supporting her in southeast Iowa, “I mean, I couldn’t have asked for more support than I’m getting because it’s incredible to see people with signs with my name and picture on it. And people posting about me constantly, about my journey on The Voice and how proud they are and being a good representation of the area that I’m from. Southeast Iowa is super important to me so I’m so glad people are rallying behind me, and I couldn’t be more thankful.”
She will next perform on Monday and live voting by the public will determine who advances. Voting starts Monday online or through The Voice mobile app.
