night-to-shine

Washington will be one of 700 locations worldwide to host a Night to Shine prom for people with special needs. The event is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. All of the proms will be held the same night, February 7th. It’s been announced that the Washington United Methodist Church is registered to host the event, with support from other area churches, for people 14-years old and older with special needs. Every guest enters on a red carpet and receives the royal treatment including hair, makeup, and shoe shine stations, corsages, boutonnieres, a catered dinner, karaoke, favors, and a dance. Each guest is crowned a king or queen of the prom. Annually in Washington about 100 people attend.
