Lights of Love Memory Trees will illuminate Washington’s Central Park this holiday season. The Main Street Washington initiative is returning for its third season. Main Street Washington Director Sarah Grunewaldt explains it’s a way for families, businesses, or organizations to honor loved ones, “It’s just a really special, sweet tradition that we started just to kind of fill the park up with some extra Christmas cheer, but also to remember people that we love that have gone before us.” Some are then decorated to reflect the person’s interests. There will be 60 total trees this season, 10 more than last year. The trees are $100 each and the funds are used for the trees, signs, and to support Main Street Washington’s holiday efforts. There are still a few available, to honor a loved one with a tree contact Grunewaldt at Main Street Washington.
