The Lord’s Cupboard in Fairfield will again be helping the less fortunate this holiday season. The organization plans to distribute hundreds of Christmas Meal Boxes to low-income households in Jefferson County. Each box contains the ingredients for a traditional Christmas meal and other food items to make the holidays brighter for those in need. The Lord’s Cupboard needs help from the community to fill boxes on Thursday, December 12th at 5:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center. The boxes are 35 pounds or more, gloves are recommended for volunteers, and those high school aged and up are welcome to volunteer. The Lord’s Cupboard of Jefferson County is the county’s emergency food pantry and distributes around 600 food orders per month.
