fire-station-2019

The nearly $2.5 million new Washington Fire Station is now officially up and running. A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the facility Thursday. The new building was constructed immediately south of the former fire station. The old fire station space is now being renovated to expand the Washington Police Department and City Hall. The new fire station provides enough room for the department’s equipment, including five bay doors for emergency vehicles to quickly respond to emergencies in the community. The public was able to tour the facility during the open house.
