The Washington bowling teams had one final pit stop in 2019, as they closed the first half of the season on Friday at Fun City in Burlington along with Mount Pleasant.

The Panthers edged the Demon girls with the final score being 1,946 pins to 1,905. Taylor Northup led the way for Washington with a two-game score of 277. Other performances included Rylie Swart 264, Dawsen Schluetter 259, Taylor Janecek 253, and Katie Donnelly 225. The Demons are now 4-5 on the season.

The Demon boys had just three bowlers and fell 2,611 pins to 1,113. Ethan Zieglowsky had a big performance with 400, Liam Eldridge had 274, and Zakkary Hesseltine had 75 for the now 2-7 Demons.

Both teams resume play after break starting on January 4th in Muscatine.
