The Washington archery team competed at Cedar Rapids Prairie last week for the final competition of 2019.
In the Bullseye competition the Demons placed second out of six teams with a score of 3349. Lane Frana led the way with a 288 score to place fourth out of 112 high school boys. Allison Rees had a 280 score with 14 bullseyes and Samantha Frana had 280 with 13 bullseyes to place sixth and eighth, respectively out of 90 high school girls. Other top performances included Jack Strabala 286, Alexis Ide 279, and David Rees 279.
In the 3D competition the Demons placed third out of four with a 1661 score. Samantha Mellinger paced the team with a 288 score that ranked first out of 32 high school girls. Other scores included Riley Kasper 279, Samantha Frana 278, Jonathan Moore 278, and Cooper Reed 278.
Washington returns to action January 4th for a home tournament.
