Christmas trees in Washington can be discarded of in two ways. Residents can either put them on street corners or drop them off in the southeast corner of Central Park. There is a drop off area marked with barricades. Maintenance and Construction Superintendent for the City of Washington JJ Bell tells KCII News that the drop off will end January 10th. Avoid putting trees near fire hydrants. Double check that all ornaments have been removed from your tree before discarding it.
