It was party time for students at the Sigourney School District recently. The Sigourney Parent Teacher Organization organized a “Duct Tape the Principal” fundraiser in which students, faculty and community members could purchase a strip of duct tape for just $5 to be used to tape Sigourney principals to the wall on December 20th if the goal of $1,500 was met. By the end of the day, students had firmly affixed elementary P.E. teacher and head boys basketball coach Mitch Eslick and elementary school principal Deanna Hutchings to the wall with their strips of tape, for hitting their goal. The funds go toward PTO after school events like Spaghetti with Grandparents, Pizza for Pops, Bowling with the Boys, Belle of the Ball and more.
