A Brighton man was arrested on warrants from Washington County, Fairfield Police Department, and the Iowa State Patrol. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday a deputy was out with a subject in the 200 block of East Main Street in Brighton. The deputy arrested 37-year-old Jason Robert Potts. He was wanted out of Washington County for failure to appear for a trial for driving while license denied or suspended and faces additional charges for possession of marijuana third offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was also wanted on four warrants out of Fairfield including theft in the second degree, controlled substance violations, possession of marijuana, unauthorized use of credit card, and failure to appear for initial appearance for driving under suspension. Bond was set at $25,000.
The Iowa State Patrol warrant was for driving while license suspended. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
