The chairman of the Washington County Board of Supervisors has been selected for 2020. At their first meeting of the new year, the supervisors voted on a new chairman and vice chair Thursday. Supervisor Richard Young suggested that it changes each year. He said perhaps later on they could look at a policy to set that the vice chair becomes the chair at the change of the year, and then they’d appoint a new vice chair annually. The supervisors elected Jack Seward Jr. to serve as the chairman and Young will be vice chair.
