The Mid-Prairie boys and girls basketball teams are back on the floor Friday when they make a trip to Goose Lake to take on the Rebels in a River Valley Conference doubleheader. The Golden Hawk girls went into Christmas break with an overall record of 2-4. The Hawks were last on the floor December 19th at No. 1 Cascade where they were beaten 77-34. Colby Rourke led Mid-Prairie in the loss with 11 points. For the season the Hawks are led by Maddie Nonnenmann and Myah Lugar each at 10 points per game. Nonnenmann is also the leader on the team with 26 boards. Amara Jones leads the team with 18 assists and 25 steals.

Northeast comes into tonight with an overall record of 5-3. The Rebels won at Regina on December 20th 56-55 with Emma Fowler scoring 13 points to lead the way. For the season the Rebels are led by Claire Abbott scoring 11 per game. Abbott leads the team with 58 rebounds and Alexis Ehlers has a team best 19 assists and 24 steals. These two teams met once a season ago with the Golden Hawks scoring a 65-38 win in Wellman.

Northeast comes into the contest with a 5-2 overall record. The Rebels lost at Regina right before Christmas 62-47 with Dakota Stevenson leading the way at 16 points. For the year, Northeast is led by Grant Rickertsen at 12 points per game. Trey McAleer has the team lead with 31 assists and 17 steals and Judd Swanton is best on the glass for the Rebels with 53 boards.

The Mid-Prairie boys come into the game with an overall mark of 1-4. Last time out, they lost at Cascade 56-33 before Christmas. Brad Tornow scored six to lead Mid-Prairie. For the season the Golden Hawks are led in scoring by Carter Harmsen at 14 points per game. Aidan Rath has the team lead with 30 rebounds and Brad Tornow paces the Hawks with 25 assists and five steals. These two teams met a season ago with the Rebels taking a 64-50 win. Action between the Golden Hawks and Rebels begins at 6p.m. at Northeast High School.
