After a two-week holiday break, the basketball season continues tonight for the Washington boys and girls, as they face off with Southeast Conference foe Fort Madison.

The Demon boys will make the road trip and they look to stay atop of the conference, as they sit at 4-2 overall and 3-0 in league play. The team showed their depth in the first half of the season, as seven players average at least six points a game led by Kasen Bailey’s 11.8. The Bloodhounds are 2-6 and give up 58 points a night.

The Washington girls (4-3,1-2) will host Fort Madison and the Demons look to start another win streak after falling to Mount Pleasant 36-32 to close the first half. Addison Six leads the squad with 11 points a night and Olivia Pacha averages 6.7 rebounds. The Bloodhounds (4-5,0-3) are an improved bunch led by Brandy Walker with 7.6 points an outing.

The girls game is set to start at 7 p.m. with the boys at 7:45 p.m. Listen to the boys road contest on FM 106.1 KCII starting around 7:15 p.m.
