A short-handed Sigourney-Keota wrestling team fell in three duals on Thursday at Iowa Valley in their first action of the New Year.

The Cobras lost to the Tigers 53-24, Mount Pleasant 39-19, and North Mahaska 40-30. Mason Dye won all three of his contested matches at 126 lbs by fall in a combined 4:41 and Evan Dawson got three wins at 138 lbs with a 9-2 decision, 11-4 decision, and fall in 50 seconds. Cade Streigle had an 8-4 decision win and pin in 2:48 at 182 lbs. Other Cobras that won on the evening included Nate Schuster at 160 lbs, Aidan Schuster at 170 lbs, and Gavin Bird at 220 lbs.

Sigourney-Keota gets back on the mat tomorrow at Ottumwa for a tournament.
