A tractor caught fire near a hog building southeast of Kalona Thursday night. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 7:23 p.m. authorities were notified of a tractor on fire in the 1200 grid of South Nutmeg Avenue. The tractor was about 40 feet from a hog building. Kalona Fire Department and Kalona QRS responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
