A winter storm swept across eastern Iowa Friday night through Saturday. According to the National Weather Service, most of Washington County received between one-tenth and three-tenths of an inch of ice Friday night. Multiple power outages were experienced across the KCII-listening area from Fairfield to Winfield to Washington, including 874 Alliant Energy customers without power in the Keota area mid-morning Saturday. One vehicle spun out and went into the ditch near 220th Street and Underwood Avenue at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday. There were no injuries. It was one of a handful of reports to the Washington County Communications Office of vehicles sliding into ditches Saturday.

Mostly cloudy skies expected Tuesday and Wednesday with a chance for precipitation heading into the weekend. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
