The sky’s the limit for anyone with a dream, and one local high school student is aiming her sights for Mars. Lilou Beachy, a Mid-Prairie High School student, is a semifinalist in the high school category for the NASA “Name The Rover” contest. Only 155 students from across the nation were selected to move onto the semifinal round, and Beachy was selected to represent Iowa in the high school category. The name she is suggesting is Vita Venter, which is Latin for “Life Hunter”. The contest will continue next week when the finalists are announced on January 21st.
