limecreek-bridge-replacement-2020

A bridge near Wellman will be closed for the next two to three months starting Monday. The Washington County Engineer’s Office announced that 130th Street will be closed approximately one half mile east of Hickory Avenue for a bridge replacement project. Work is expected to take two to three months depending on the weather. The existing bridge over Lime Creek will be replaced with a triple reinforced concrete box culvert. The current bridge has a weight restriction and is narrow, creating a four-mile detour for larger vehicles. The project will be completed by Iowa Bridge and Culvert, L.C. of Washington for $393,547.90.
