Lucky number 13. Thirteen boys basketball teams have shared the court with WACO this season and 13 teams have been dealt the same crushing fate. Van Buren is the latest victim; as WACO stayed perfect with a 51-29 home win last night.

Nik Coble led the way for WACO with 16 points and Pietro Vannini added 11. The second and third quarters were the difference when the WACO Warriors outscored the Van Buren Warriors by 21.

The girls did not have as good of luck falling 63-20. Lela Fort paced the team with seven points and Maysan Lee had six.

The boys are now 13-0 while the girls are 2-12. Both teams are back at it tonight at Cardinal.
