With the district speech competition less than 24 hours away, we take a look at another speech team and their entrants this year. The Highland Community School District will be taking eight students to this year’s district competition, minus Matt Butler the lone Senior. Butler will be busy competing in Highland’s robotics league championship in Ottumwa the same day as his radio broadcasting team will present their program. The Highland crew also has two improv teams that will be competing for a spot in the state competition. The district speech competition is being hosted by Lone Tree and is set to happen this Saturday with performances starting at 8 a.m.
