In a battle of the birds in Letts on Thursday the Hillcrest Academy Ravens split a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader with the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons. In the girls contest the Falcons completed the season sweep of Hillcrest by a 58-22 score. Esther Hughes led the Hillcrest effort with 20 points. With the loss the Ravens are now 1-13 on the year.

In the boys contest, the Ravens returned the favor, finishing a season sweep of the Falcons 64-43. Hillcrest was hot early, posting a 23 point first quarter en route to a 23-13 lead after one period and 39-21 advantage at the break. In the second half the Ravens outscored the Falcons 25-22 to finish the win. Two players reached double figures for Hillcrest with Kobe Borntrager scoring 19 and Eli Ours 11. With the win, the Ravens are back to .500 on the year at 6-6 as they prepare to travel to Pekin on Friday.
