It’s the start of round two of Southeast Conference play, as the Washington basketball teams face off with rival Mount Pleasant tonight for the second time this season.

The Demon girls look to rebound from a 43-30 loss to Keokuk on Tuesday to drop to 7-5 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Panthers are 4-10 and 3-3 in the league and edged the Demons 36-32 right before the holiday break. Lydia Stewart leads the way for Mount Pleasant with 7.5 points a night.

While the girls are home, the Demon boys will hit the road and look to stay atop of the conference standings with an 8-4 overall mark and 4-1 in the SEC. They grinded out a 62-50 win back in December against the now 8-5 Panthers. Mount Pleasant has rallied off six straight victories in the New Year and Clayton Lowery is a big reason why with 12.2 points a game.
