A 26-year veteran of the Washington Police Department has retired. Lt. Ron See announced his retirement in early January at a city council meeting. He said good-bye at a retirement party Friday afternoon, “The only thing I want to says is, I want to thank everyone, the police department here, Chief Lester, I see Chief Goodman at the back of the room, Sheriff Yale Jarvis retired, I just can’t thank you for all the years of support you’ve given me and I’m looking forward to the next step in my life, whatever that may be. Thank you very much.” He was presented certificates of appreciation from Mayor Jaron Rosien, State Senator Kevin Kinney, and Brad Nolan with Iowa Department of Public Safety. See was an officer with the city of Washington for 26 years and worked in dispatch for four years.
