The Louisa County Conservation is inviting the public to share their stories and connection to nature. The conservation department will hold an event called “Common Ground, Stories of the Land,” where Iowans are able to talk about their unique experiences and memories of the outdoors. This story collection event was created by the Iowa Association of Naturalists to push aside differences between people and find a common interest in the preservation of Iowa’s natural resources. The Louisa County Conservation will be holding three different recording sessions at three locations for those who want to share their outdoor stories. If you would like to set up a 20 minute session to sit down and record your stories contact the Louisa County Conservation offices.
