night-to-shine

Over 100 attendees have registered and will receive the royal treatment at Washington’s Night to Shine on Friday. The annual prom for people with special needs is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. There is no cost to attend. Each guest will be paired with a buddy to enjoy the evening that includes limo rides, dinner, dancing, and karaoke. Organizer Ann Williams shares what the highlight of the night is each year, “Our special event is the crowning. And that is everyone that comes as a guest is crowned either with a tiara or a crown. And it brings tears to your eyes because they are so excited. We want them to know they are loved, so we pour out our love on them and just pamper them for the whole evening.”

Night to Shine will be held the same evening at more than 720 host churches in all 50 states and across 34 countries. Those who would like to volunteer should contact Williams or the organization’s Facebook page. Night to Shine will be held Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the KC Hall in Washington.
