The days after the state large group speech competition can be agonizing, but the payoff was great for the Mid-Prairie team. The Golden Hawks took eight events to the state competition in Cedar Rapids and ended up with three being selected to the All-State Festival. The biggest honor being their musical theatre, called “[Title of Show]”, being selected to perform at All-State on February 22nd at the Iowa State Center. The two non-performing groups receiving an All-State nod are improv and ensemble acting.  Students will perform their various events, but will not compete for awards.
