Small updates to Mid-Prairie’s Non-Renewal Incentive were revealed. This policy gives employees a stipend to notify the school early when they know they will be leaving the district next school year. Those who wish to resign are able to receive an incentive if they do so early enough in the school year. This was made in order to have more time to find applicants and fill positions, according to Mid-Prairie Superintendent Mark Schneider. Those who resign for the following school year prior to the third Friday of March will receive a $1,500 incentive. Those who resign before the second Friday in April will receive a $750 incentive. In previous years, these dates were set to April 1st and 15th, and were moved to Fridays instead of dates.
