Two 19-year-olds were injured in a wreck in Henry County Sunday morning. According to the Iowa State Patrol, at 7:33 a.m. a Jeep Grand Cherokee wrecked on Ash Avenue, south of Coppock near 120th Street. The Jeep was driven by Wyatt Harbison of Brighton and Nathaniel Reynolds of Mt. Pleasant was a passenger. Neither one was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was northbound on Ash Avenue and failed to negotiate a curve, went off the west side of the roadway and struck a tree. Harbison was taken by Air Care to the University of Iowa Hospital.
Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by Wayland Fire Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and emergency medical services. The crash remains under investigation.
