A man was killed when a deer went through his windshield near Sigourney Wednesday night. According to the Iowa State Patrol, at 7:04 p.m. a car was westbound on Highway 92 west of Sigourney when it struck a deer that entered the roadway, that deer then went airborne and went through the windshield of a car going eastbound. The deer went through the windshield and struck the driver, 45-year-old Donald Burdick of North English. Burdick was transported by Keokuk County EMS to the Keokuk County Hospital but died as a result of the wreck. The crash remains under investigation.
