Here is a recap of action for Championship Saturday at the State wrestling tournament in Des Moines.

In class 2A at 106lbs Columbus-Winfield-Mt. Union’s #8 ranked Lane Scorpil was pinned by#4 Cole Nelson of Humboldt. In the fifth place match Scorpil was beaten by Carter Kolthoff of BCLUW. Scorpil finishes in sixth place.

In class 1A at 126lbs Sigourney-Keota’s Mason Dye fell to #6 Wyatt Reisz of Logan-Magnolia in sudden victory. In the seventh place match, Dye beat Quinten Aney of Mediapolis by 7-3 decision. Dye finishes in seventh place.
