snow-forecast-2-24-20

A slow-moving winter storm is expected to dump snow on eastern Iowa Monday night through Wednesday morning. The entire KCII-listening area is under a winter storm watch from Monday night through Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities says precipitation will start out as rain and will change to snow, which may be moderate to heavy at times especially Tuesday. Increasing winds may cause blowing and drifting snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. There is still high uncertainty on the placement of heavy snow. Snow accumulations are estimated to be four to eight inches with isolated higher amounts up to 10 inches possible. This system will likely create poor travel conditions Tuesday with slippery and snow-covered roads and sidewalks. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
